Annual Golf Competition
Forty-one players took part in SGF’s Golf Day at Dunblane New Golf Course on Wednesday August 12.
The “glorious twelfth” brought some glorious weather – at least for part of the day – and some glorious golf.
Best scratch score by an individual was recorded by John Mitchell, SPAR retailer in Fife who won the Caledonian Cup.
The best team prize (on the Stableford basis) was won by Wrigley’s whose team comprised Andrew Vietch, Bill Begg, Eric Smith and Willie Nimmo. They collected the McCurrach Cup as well as individual prizes.
Runners-up for the team prize and winners of the Fingerpost Cup were Allied Bakeries with Robert Wilson, John McLeish accompanying John and Sandy Mitchell in their team.
A great day was had by all and thanks must go to Dunblane New Golf Club for their great service and co-operation during the day.
